Pair of candlesticks mounted in gilded bronze lamps attributed to Louis-Félix de Larue (after a drawing by the), sculptor Clodion

The couple of winemaker puttos are naked carrying a crown of grapes and vines holding in each hand a cornucopia fluted in a spiral with grapes and vine leaves.

One is standing the other is sitting on a rock, on a circular green marble base.

An identical pair is at Pavlovsk Palace, illustrated in A. Kuchumov, Pavlovsk, The Palace and the Park, 1976, pl. 220. Another pair, listed at the beginning of the 19th century in the lunch room of the Empress of the Château de Compiègne, is now at the Louvre Museum
