"Rare Pair Of Small Inlaid Corners, Holland, 18th Century."
The whole features marquetry of lemon tree and green-tinted wood, with naturalistic motifs and exotic birds perched on garden “bird baths”. Isosceles in shape, the trays have a decoration of birds perched on a green entablature, surrounded by flowering branches. An alternating ebony-lemon frieze demarcates the motif. This same frieze also surrounds the motifs of the facade, opening with two doors. On these the birds are also placed on "bird baths" placed on a shaped base, in a very 'vegetable' environment. Two uprights with a floral garland pattern complete this elegant and lush decor. These corners rest on two front feet in animal “hocks”, ending in hooves. Very finely inlaid solid mahogany furniture: Dutch work from the 18th century, in good original condition.
