The artist's training was influenced by numerous trips to England, Spain, France and Italy, but also in India, Australia, New Zealand and North Africa. He studied in Munich and at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris with Jean-Paul Laurens. In 1911, he settled permanently in Paris, becoming an important figure in the life of the Polish artistic colony on the Seine. The artist's works enjoyed considerable success at the time. They have been exhibited in numerous individual exhibitions, particularly in the prestigious Galerie Bernheim-Jeune in Paris, as well as group exhibitions in France, Italy, Belgium and Poland. Terlikowski's paintings are characterized by strong, saturated colors and thick texture applied with a palette knife. He paints landscapes, portraits and still lifes which dominate his work. The artist's works are found in numerous public collections in France.
