After Carracci, Atlantes, 2 17th Century Engravings

Pair of engravings in the style of sanguine (red chalk) representing the preparatory work for the Atlanteans in the Farnese Gallery in Rome, after Carracci.

We find the mentions "Francus Collignon formis", "Cum Priuil. S. Pontifacis" and "C. Cesi fecit romae", as well as the page numbers 18 and 19

The ceiling frescoes of the Farnese Gallery in Rome were created by Annibale Carracci between 1597 and 1607, with the help of his brothers and students.
