Oil on cardboard (thick), Painting with a knife. From the early 20th century. Signed lower right, with annotation on the back: “Floristes CUGUEN 2 rue peiresc TOULON” All in very good condition. Victor Louis Cuguen (1882 – 1969) born in Manche and died in Toulon exhibited landscapes at the Salon des Indépendants from 1922 to 1940 and at the Salon des Artistes Français. He settled in Toulon where he was a member of the “Society of Friends of the Arts” and participated in numerous exhibitions.
