Hij is a French sculptor (1858-1924). Félix Charpentier was admitted to the workshops of Jules Cavelier and Amédée Doublemard at the École des Beaux- Arts de Paris in 1877. From 1879, he presented his works at the Salon des artistes français He received a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889 and his fame continued to grow. In 1890, he received the medal. first class and the Salon prize for the marble La Chanson, then, in 1893, the medal of honor for the marble of its wrestlers. This work was acquired by the State and has adorned the Bollène town hall square ever since. 1905. He was made a knight of the Legion of Honor, then promoted to officer of the Legion of Honor on February 9, 1901. In 1899, Austria awarded Félix Charpentier the great gold medal at the International Triennial Exhibition of Vienna for the Sleeping Globe In 1900, he was elected mayor of Chassant (Eure-et-Loir), where he settled.
