"Clock With Cherubs Gilded Bronze Napoléon III"
Very decorative high-quality clock from the Napoleon III period signed Lecomte in Paris. Architecture in white marble richly decorated with finely chiseled gilded bronze decorated with caryatid cherubs in a leaning position and supporting on its head a cornice decorated at the top with an imposing draped vase topped with a kneeling cupid.The facade features the domed white enamel dial finely decorated with paintings of garlands of flowers connected by small golden dots, accompanied by finely worked golden hands. The whole is protected by a curved glass set in a guilloché bezel. Highlighted by a frieze of foliage decorated with a mask, oval base accommodating a second feminine and draped mask and imposing front and rear feet as well as on the sides.
