Bastia By Ferdinand Valdrighi 1920-1991 Very beautiful oil on wood measuring 24cm x 35cm plus Montparnasse frame in carved wood Representing Bastia seen from a seaside signed lower left F.VALDRIGHI Ferdinand VALDRIGHI was born in 1920 He was trained by Hector Filippi at the Academy of Painting of Corsica A report of the group exhibition which took place in Bastia at the Mattei establishments, in November 1952 indicates: Already in possession of all his means. Its illuminated landscapes, its mountains caressed by the sunsets are beautifully crafted. He perfected and illuminated his paintings as an artist-laureate of 1951 (see History of painting in Corsica by Claude Giansily)
