It is veneered with violet wood framing flower marquetry on a rosewood background, separated by a scrolled boxwood net. It opens with five drawers in three rows.
The top, the drawers, the uprights, the front crosspieces and intermediate shelves and the bottom are made of very carefully crafted oak.
It is dressed in beautifully crafted chiseled and gilded bronzes: scraps, flowered wands, clogs, entrances, handles and a very beautiful apron.
It is topped with red Belgian marble, molded with a corbin groove and beak.
Stamped F. REIZELL twice: on the right front upright and on the crosspiece, as well as the JME hallmark for Jurors-Carpenters-Cabinetmakers.

It is in perfect condition.
François Reizell, Master in 1764, died in 1788. He began his career in Faubourg Saint Antoine and employed as a companion the one who would become the famous cabinetmaker Joseph Baumhauer. His main client was the Prince of Condé, to whom he delivered numerous pieces of furniture for the Palais-Bourbon as well as the châteaux of Chantilly and Villegénis.
