"Louis XIV Period Natural Wood Command Armchair"
Louis XIV period natural wood command chair, quite unusual in the height of the seat still influenced by the Louis XIII period arm chair. The console armrest supports are placed on the corner of the front legs as if to open access to the seat. It rests on four arched legs ending in ungulate hooves, joined by an X-shaped spacer centered with a flower. The whole, finely molded and sculpted, is soberly decorated with acanthus leaves and shell scraps. Work circa 1715 covered with a tapestry with small dots in the style of Aubusson.
