Rare pair of baluster-shaped pewter CIMARRES with high pedestal, long neck, quarter-round goblet and top lid, tasseled thumbscrew; equipped with a fixed handle and a dangling handle with attachments depicting human masks with collars.
Hallmark of Louis TISSET on one received master around 1750: hammer / LT / BAR SUR AUBE.
Height: 25.8 cm.

In very good condition, with slightly dark natural patina
A small difference in turning is noted on the pedestal of one of the two, but these two cimarres are indisputably from the same mold.
These cimarres were intended for serving wine at the guest table.
The vast majority of them are of Champagne origin.
