The painting expresses a pretty view of a Provencal alley, beautiful perspective, peaceful view with bucolic charm. Good control of colors, bright. It is signed lower left. Good general condition Paul Eschbach (1881-1961) French School. A student of Jean-Paul Laurens and Pharaon de Winter, he painted portraits until 1920 then devoted himself to seascapes and landscapes. He exhibited at the Salon of French Artists from 1903, the year he presented a portrait of a man and won a silver medal in 1907. He also takes part in numerous art galleries including one in Lille and also exhibits in Roubaix, Douai, Mulhouse and Nantes. Out of competition in 1926 at the Salon of French Artists, he specialized in landscapes.
