Object description :

"Louis XVI Period Serving Console Stamped Louis-noël Malle Et Jme"
Very beautiful Louis XVI period mahogany serving console stamped LN MALLE and JME.
Rounded in shape, it rests on 4 oblong tapered and blunt fluted legs.
Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes such as belt scrapers, sticks highlighting the 3 drawers, pulling rings, rings, sabots and connecting dice to the 4 feet.
The server has a Carrara marble top with a reseau underlined by an openwork gallery in gilded bronze.
We find a similar marble on the crotch shelf, also surrounded by a gilded bronze gallery.

On the front, a drawer with its functional lock is covered in a slightly speckled mahogany veneer, as are the two curved side compartments.
These compartments are opened using a mechanism hidden in the belt.

This elegant console with beautiful proportions is signed by Louis-Noël MALLE and bears the mark of the Jurande JMe hallmark.
