Marcel GUILLARD & Etling editions circa 1925. Rare modernist vase of the triple gourd type with a high flared neck, the body has cracked light-colored gradient enamel, the neck as well as the heel has uncracked oxblood-colored enamel. Here, the artist is clearly inspired by the Asian artistic repertoire, whether in terms of colors or the shape inspired by Japanese and Chinese double and triple gourd vases. H34.5 cm The artist: Marcel Felix GUILLARD born in Paris, 1896-1963, He was known as a painter but above all as a ceramist. His work in oil was generally of allegorical subjects and landscapes. Guillard exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Indépendants from 1920, and occasionally at the Salon d'Automne.
