"Woman With The Flower. Signed Boissonnas. Around 1935."
Very strong portrait of a woman holding a flower circa 1935. Lots of strength in the expression. Remarkable technique. The canvas in excellent condition bears the initials at the bottom right followed by a name BOISSONNAS. I have no certainty but it could be Henri-Paul Boissonnas, painter, art restorer and photographer from Geneva. In its original frame with annotations. See Wikipedia for more information. Dimensions of the canvas alone, 61 cm x 50 cm, i.e. a 12 Figure. With frame, 73 cm x 61 cm.
