"Sweet Note With Rosewood Screen, Louis XVI Period."
Sweet note with rosewood screen, Louis XVI period. This delightful little piece of writing furniture in the form of a fire screen is a “billet sweet” of luxurious manufacturing, it is made of rosewood and cube marquetry on the flap. This small cabinetmaking work dating from the last quarter of the 18th century, is a work from the Louis XVI period, like precious work it is executed with an exotic wood, if most of the "beautiful" models are in mahogany some of which are stamped by Joseph Canabas, this one was made in rosewood, which gives it additional interest and a more feminine refinement. All in very good state of conservation. Dimensions: Height: 88cm Width: 45cm
