"Crucifix With Instruments Of The Passion - Napoleon III Period - 19th Century"
Blackened wooden crucifix on stepped base from the Napoleon III period, with attributes of the instruments of the Passion, "Arma Christi":The pincers, the Lance of centurion Longinus, the Holy Sponge, the ladder of descent from the cross, the nail driving hammer, two reeds and of course the Crucifixion Cross.
Christ in metal (tin?) and INRI inscription, beautiful period patina.
Total height: approximately 43 cm
Good general condition. Note some rare and slight superficial cracks caused by woodworking over time.
