"Silver Sword, Louis XV Period, Circa 1760"
Silver frame hallmarked in various places, decorated with fine twisted lines. Round pommel en suite. Hallmarked handle, cast in silver with the same decoration with two ferrules, decorated with foliage. Hallmarked cruise with double inverted quillon. Finely decorated guard, keyboard with scallop shell bound with “donkey pass” Triangular blade of 77 cm, decorated on its first third with geometric motifs and foliage. The whole of this sword in very good condition, with perfectly matching decorations, is of great beauty, combining simplicity, harmony and the search for a perfect balance of silverware of the period, hallmarked on all its parts (guard , handle, quillons - donkey step, keyboard).
