"Wall Console In Boulle Marquetry And Golden Wood, Louis XIV Period"
A rare wall console in Boulle marquetry (red tortoise shells and brass) and very finely carved and gilded wood. In the first part of red scales, it presents a decoration of four brass leaves in an oval reserve in its center framed by arabesques and foliage. Two garlands of flowers, ending in the upper part with shell-shaped windings, in very finely carved and gilded wood appear on each side of the console. In the lower part, there is a small base made of acanthus leaves and in the upper part, a gadrooned frieze all in very finely carved and gilded wood.
