Large Old Tablecloth - Linen Damask With Floral Decor - Without Monogram - Late 19th Century flag

Object description :

"Large Old Tablecloth - Linen Damask With Floral Decor - Without Monogram - Late 19th Century"
Beautiful and elegant damask linen tablecloth, animated on its four borders with a floral decoration deployed in a wide and double frieze where roses in buds, acanthus, sprigs and foliage tied with ribbons intertwine. This typical tablecloth from the end of the 19th century does not bear a number, so it will be easy for you to embroider the initials of your choice in the central stamp provided for this purpose. You can also embroider them on either side of the medallion. Antique linen of very good quality, with dense linen damask to which the tight weaving gives this remarkable silky effect depending on the lighting.
Condition : Only a slight hint of rust remains, although much reduced by washing. It is approximately 64 cm from a border in width and 91 cm from a border in length. It is very clear and does not detract from the quality or aesthetics of the piece.
