Japanese Meiji Period Kutani Enamelled Porcelain Parrot flag

Object description :

"Japanese Meiji Period Kutani Enamelled Porcelain Parrot"
A very rare and masterfully crafted model of a parrot. Kutani model of a parrot, standing on a tree stump. The bird's feathers are finely enamelled in gilded and brown with striking yellow, blue, and turquoise tail feathers. The beak is gilded, and the eyes are realistically detailed. The tree stump is beautifully finished in a heavy treacle brown enamel with aqua blue and black detail. The underside is unglazed.
The base is marked, apparently with the author's signature.
