Celso Tempia (Bonda - Mezzana Mortigliengo, 1907), was a talented painter with a precious, lively stroke, capable of descriptive intentions happily resolved in lyrical and never rhetorical volutes. Tempia established himself as a landscape painter straddling two epochs: that of the enlightened nineteenth-century artists and that of the twentieth century preparing for major transformations. In 1957 he painted on his father's house in Bonda the "Madonna del Sassoferrato," the first sign of authorship left on the walls of the hamlet, and then, in 1967, he frescoed, with the intention of preserving its memory, the "Madonna del De Bosis," a reproduction of the precious Renaissance-era painting preserved in the nearby Oratory of San Rocco, which in those years had not yet been restored and was in danger of being lost. In 1973 he opened his own summer atelier in Bonda, soon also frequented by the Italian-French group of artists "Frères d'Art" of which Tempia was a founder.
