Still Life Painting Vase Of Flowers With Contemporary Frame From 17th Century flag

Object description :

"Still Life Painting Vase Of Flowers With Contemporary Frame From 17th Century"
COD 0889
Splendid still life from the second half of the 17th century. Oil artwork on canvas depicting a magnificent bouquet of flowers on a vase, of great pictorial quality. Painting attributable to the Dutch painter Karel Van Vogelaer (1653-1695), lacking authenticity. Specializing in still lifes, he worked mainly in Italy and was known as Carlo dei Fiori. This artwork is characterized by some typical aspects of his style, the compositional and chromatic balance, the sensitivity in transparencies and the accuracy in the representation of the different botanical species. Worthy of mention is the detail of the reflection on the vase, a detail that denotes considerable technical ability. Antique contemporary frame in carved and gilded wood, decorated with charming floral motifs. Painting already restored with relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in some small places. Overall, the painting is in an excellent state of conservation. Sight size H 71 x W 58 cm.
