Small animal sculpture from pear wood, without grain or veins, which over time has taken on this sumptuous patina of old boxwood.
Early work, wood has become very light, we see the attempts of scissors underneath, by a sculptor with dazzling talent.
This majestic lion wears a completely royal wig, as they were represented under Louis XIV, we believe it to date from 1700s, or Regency.
