Object description :

"Large Decorative Bottle By French Ceramicist Jules Agard "
Jules Agard was the technical director of Madoura in Vallauris. It was therefore quite natural that Suzanne Ramié, founder of the workshop, asked him to form the pots that Pablo Picasso was going to paint. Agard and Picasso's collaboration lasted 22 years. Beyond the technical aspect, it is a friendship and a beautiful bond that developed between the two men, as Dominique Sassi testifies in his book "In the shadow of Picasso".

This very large bottle, 60 cm high, reveals itself as a fresco to discover, like an allegory of the four seasons, with its blooming trees or its wooden chalet, or even its skier who seems to fly off.

Circa 1960.
