"High Period Polychrome Wood Statue"
Very beautiful statue in polychrome soft wood worked in the round. Work presenting a character with long curly hair draped in a large garment of green, red and gold. French school Period between 14th and 15th century. The subject is presented with the swaying of the head and body specific to this era. The statue has retained beautiful colors and has a superb patina. Note marked wear on the nose as well as the missing right arm and the end of the left arm as well. Height of the statue 47cm
