Object description :

"When Krishna Defeats The Serpent"
Ravi Varmâ (Kilimanoor, Kerala, India, April 29, 1848 - Kilimanoor, October 2, 1906) is an Indian painter who achieved great notoriety in particular by illustrating scenes from the epics of the Mahabharata and the Ramayana. Third chromolithograph in my collection... Krishna dancing on Kaliya's head after beating her. Around the serpent's women beg for mercy. This superb epic is detailed on Wikipedia.... Engraving from the beginning of the 20th century in perfect condition.
