Inro - Rare small model in urushi gold lacquer, typical of the so-called Koetsu lacquer production, Rimpa school or Kôrin school - Ogata Korin (1658-1716). Very characteristic strongly rounded shapes, interior space divided into two parts, use of various materials such as: silver, gold, mother-of-pearl, and lead and apparent simplicity with conciseness of line, are all characteristics of this unique production. This is a small model decorated with flowers and foliage. Height: 4 cm. Width: 4.2cm. Edo Japan, 18th century.
