"Canon's Camail - Circa 1930"
Short priestly cape worn over the cassock or choir habit (the rochet) by Catholic ecclesiastical dignitaries. Here, it is a canon's hackle: black fabrics with purple edging and rabbit fur. With small hood ("disappeared" after the 1940s).
First half of the 20th century.
All buttons are present. Note: slight symmetrical rubbing of the purple border at the back of the shoulders (see photos).
