"Veuve Augustine Jamet - "the Cutlery" - 12 Tea Or Dessert Spoons In Sterling Silver & Vermeil"
Service of twelve tea or dessert spoons (nice dimensions) in solid silver and vermeil by the goldsmith Vve Augustine Jamet, 72, Quai des Orfèvres in Paris, who inscribed in 1852 and crossed out in 1860. Very beautiful model, harmonious in its form as much as in its ornament, superbly chiseled in fine relief, dating from the mid-19th century. The spoon is gently pointed, ample and generous; on the reverse, the button is richly decorated with a rocaille decoration of leaves and flowers, the fiddle spatulas with the same floral decoration. The vermeil, of excellent quality, is original and still very dense. No deformation, no wear, small normal signs of use, very good conditions for this magnificent mid-19th century set. Discreet A & S monogram, engraved on the reverse. To highlight, the very good quality and density of this service. Hallmark of the master goldsmith Widow Augustine Jamet L'Orfèvrerie Le Couvert Length: 15 cm. / 5.91 in. Sterling silver weight: 300 Gr.
