Ottoman Travel Inkwell, Qaladam, Divit flag

Object description :

"Ottoman Travel Inkwell, Qaladam, Divit"
It is a travel inkwell, or Ottoman pen box, called DIVIT QALAMDAN. It is made of bronze with a rich, very finely chiseled decoration, and calligraphic inscriptions.
The quality is significantly higher than that of the models usually encountered. Such finesse of execution that the craftsmen have lost over time clearly evokes the 18th century. For example, we can mention the period of the reign of Sultan Mahmoud I (1730-1754).
However, the exact dating of this type of scholarly object remains difficult.
I lack the knowledge to decipher the calligraphy. I can therefore only describe the fineness of the carvings, the manufacturing quality of the inkwell cover, and say that this object is in very good condition, at a reasonable price.
