"Pair Of Faun Torches. Early 19th Century."
Pair of chiseled and gilded bronze and silvered bronze candlesticks. They present a faun standing on a tambourine, carrying on his head a basket of fruit forming the binet. The base is decorated with spokes of hearts and a row of pearls centered on a curved silvered bronze shaft. Louis XVI style work around 1830. Very good quality of carving and gilding with small wear from use.
