"Alabaster Buddha, Mandalay, 19th"
Important statue of the crowned Buddha in alabaster with traces of black and gold lacquer, he is dressed in a traditional ceremonial costume, richly adorned, with numerous colored glass pellets inlaid on the headdress and clothing. He is seated in padmasana, his right hand holding the earth to witness his awakening. Mandalay style, 27 kg, 57 cm, Burma, 19th century
