these embroideries were to cover the front of bottom drawers of a large cabinet from Antwerp, fom black wood....
Good general condition, a little sunburned, but good, given the normal fragility of silk works which have survived 5 centuries: some colors of thread have not managed to survive. An embroidery, (red arrow) has been resurfaced below with a reused piece to hide a gap at the left edge...requires a few stitches.
Dimensions: 24cm x 21.5cm on average…
