"Jingasa From The Edo Period, Conical Samurai Headdress In Harikake"
Authentic and original Jingasa from the Edo period, conical samurai headdress in harikake (paper mache technique) covered with black lacquer representing a golden diamond-shaped kamon. Without tehen (opening at the top of the helmet). Black lacquered interior with a red signature (see photo). In good condition considering its age, the exterior has lacquer chips and dents. Inside there are chin straps called ago-himo. Provenance: from a private collection - Sold at Bonhams London in November 2019.
