Edwardian 9ct solid gold vesta match case with a hinged lid enclosing a storage area for matches inside and a ribbed edge on the underside for striking matches. This is a wonderful example of understated elegance from years gone by. Free from an engraved monogram or name, it would make an excellent gift.
Made by Ramsden & Carr and fully assayed in London, 1907.
