"Marble Naiad, Italy, 16th C."
Young naiad, female divinity of rivers and springs, or perhaps in this case a young bather, sculpted in the round, in an attitude of relaxation, the left arm raised above her head. It rests on a fabric or fabric placed on an architectural element representing the head of a sea monster with two wings on either side. The hole dug in the monster's mouth suggests that it was probably the top of a fountain. Normal erosion of the whole, especially due to its function; shine to the right of the fabric, but very beautiful appearance of the whole with an interesting dimension (length 0.64m)
