"18th Century George III Period Mahogany Bedside Commode"
A fine late 18th-century, well-proportioned converted Georgian mahogany bedside chest of drawers. The top features a practical gallery tray, over a two-door cupboard above a lower pull-out section converted with a tooled leather surface, with two large brass carrying handles on the sides, all raised on elegant, shaped bracket feet. The doors and drawers are beautifully plain with satinwood stringing. Great quality with a lovely warm patina. Circa 1780.
