Knives used by American settlers in the 19th century to remove the skin of bison, they are called "skinning knives". Note the very beautiful and authentic sheath which contains them, made of skin, and presenting a copper beading on the side. The blade of one is marked "JWLawrence London"; that of the other is stamped "Green river knife", it is forged in Shiefield in England.
