In the collections of the Salies Museum is one of my favorite watercolors by the Artist: an old stone bench overgrown with moss and ivy, of the same dimensions as this one, of great poetry, where it is an old wall with disjointed stones being covered with invasive ivy whose leaves become almost bluish in the shadows... If Redouté was the greatest flower watercolorist of the first half of the 19th century, Blanche Odin is the greatest of the first half of the 20th century. If, of course, it is her roses which have ensured, in a very well-deserved way, her reputation, she excelled in the representations of all kinds of flowers as we can see in the excellent works of Monique Pujo-Monfran or by visiting the Salies de Bagnères de Bigorre museum. Artist specialists, we constantly present them. See also our other bouquets and our “View of the Basin”. Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or telephone.
