"19th Century Victorian Period Carved Mahogany Armchair"
A stunning, high-quality early Victorian period mid-19th-century carved and molded mahogany frame upholstered armchair. It features a reclining, open, spoon-shaped back and scroll-end carved arms, set above a serpentine-shaped molded front rail. The apron is decorated with a carved floral cartridge, all raised on carved, molded cabriole legs with scroll toes at the front and beautifully splayed legs at the rear, terminating in small brass castors. This bergère armchair is upholstered in high-quality green fabric with beige braiding. The back features a deep-buttoned design, and the seat incorporates a sprung base, which is firm yet extremely comfortable to sit on. The chair seat height is 40cm.
