Moustiers earthenware is renowned for its exceptional artistic creations, inspired by nature and mythology. This production center, located in the south of France, reached its peak in the 18th century, and this plate is a magnificent example. Our plate dates from the mid-to-late 18th century, a period when Moustiers earthenware makers began to diversify their color palette, adding green, yellow and manganese to their creations. The exclusive use of green on this plate speaks to a time when each piece was a unique work of art.
