Rare ceramic clock by Jules Vieillard in Bordeaux, complete with its two complementary cassolettes. This very beautiful set with Japanese enameled decoration is by Amédée de Caranza. In this orientalist setting we find the three Orients: Japan with the storks in flight, India with the elephants on the sides and China with the foo dog above. On the casserole dishes, the lion stands, symbol of Gascony. Dimensions of the cassolettes: 15 x 15 x 20 cm This clock works, adjustment required. Produced between 1880 and 1895, these clocks were a highlight of the universal exhibitions of the end of the 19th century. The Vieillard et Fils factory has often been awarded gold medals for the quality and originality of its productions.
