Portrait Of Françoise-marie De Bourbon “mademoiselle De Blois” Daughter Of Louis XIV Gobert XVIIth

Very charming oval portrait of Françoise Marie de Bourbon( presumed of)  called "the second Mademoiselle de Blois", she was born in the castle of Maintenon on May 2, 1677 and died in the Palais-Royal on February 1, 1749. A legitimate daughter of Louis XIV and Madame de Montespan, she was a French princess. She was Duchess of Chartres and Duchess of Orléans by her marriage to Philippe d'Orléans, future regent.

The princess with the soft face is represented here in a red coat, she wears the hairstyle called Fontange very fashionable during the reign of Louis XIV.

This late 17th century oil on canvas is closer to the works of the painter Pierre Gobert (1662-1744).

It was formerly mounted on cardboard, some old restorations are present; the colors are fresh.

The work is sold with its period carved wooden frame.
