"A Louis XVI Secretary (writing Desk) Stamped Nicolas Petit, 18th Century"
Straight secretaire (writing desk), veneered with rosewood and inlaid with ribbons, acanthus leaves and sycamore rosettes on an amaranth background. Stamped N. Petit and JME. Nicolas Petit, received master in 1761.
Parisian work from the Louis XVI period.
Red and white veined gray marble top.
Absolutely beautiful bronze decoration.
Condition report: restored by our workshop in June 2024.
