"Antique Dragon-shaped Vase, Chinese, Brass, Decorative, Oriental Taste."
Antique vase in the shape of a dragon. A decorative Chinese brass flower urn with a pronounced oriental flavor, dating from the Victorian period, circa 1900. • Remarkably explicit in detail and iconography • Displays a desirable aged patina throughout • The ornate brass exhibits a beautiful golden tone and a patina commensurate with age • Decorated with stunning dragon figures and other incidental iconography • Wrapped around the neck of the vase, the upper dragon sits with its mouth open to one side • Two wonderfully three-dimensional dragons adorn the main body, with prominent horns • Where the tails meet at the rear, engraved flowers and geometric designs decorate the ground • The fully formed character markings of each base are found in a final dragon emblem. The vase has been restored. See the pictures .
