Pair of 18th century chairs, Louis XVI period in original painted wood.
The oval shaped backrest called "medaillon" sculpted with moldings reminiscent of the trimmings found around the edge of the seat belt with an animated shape, the spindle base is composed of roughened grooves for the uprights and topped with a square which is for once not the connecting die of the crosspieces, the assembly is found in the sculpted frieze of trimmings.
The seat and fabric are in very good condition.
The yellow fabric is crushed velvet with stylized flower patterns.
