"Hot Water Bottle Lamp In Silver Bronze Empire Period"
Bouillotte lamp in gilded bronze topped with an empire red sheet metal lampshade, with a patina of red, brown and pink. Adjustable in height, it is embellished with a wheel representing two eagles facing each other, above a flower, the three supporting arms of the lampshade take up the representation of the eagle. Three arms of light feature sculpted lion heads supporting the collars and bobeches. These three branches are connected to a central shaft decorated with vertical streaks. The lamp rests on a guilloché bronze base called a “bowl” with a striated edge. The bobeches were pierced for ancient electrification. Total height 70 cm Lampshade diameters 30 and 23 cm Bowl diameter 17 cm
