The "Phenicia" form is listed at Legras, but this decoration is less known.
This planter has an acid-etched decoration of plants and thistles in flower giving the impression of different planes.
The thistles and their leaves are naturally enhanced with enamel and gilding all around.
Note some normal wear to the gilding and micro-scratches on the background. No signature.
This rare piece was created towards the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
It comes from a very beautiful residence in Haute Garonne.
This decor deserves to appear in the works of "Michel and Vitrat".
