Beautiful miniature, monastic work from 18th century, painted by gouache on prepared parchment, featuring a Benedictine Monk in his white robe carrying the INSTRUMENTS OF THE PASSION: Also called Arma christi (arms of Christ). Objects used to make Christ suffer:  crown of thorns, nails,  spear, rods, dice...
Reused frame, gilded, simple, a little split, (photo), 13cm x 10.5cm;
Good condition, some wear.
